Every time I food shop I always aim for natural whole foods first, but when I'm looking at healthier alternatives to snacks and other food products one of the first things I will always do is read the ingredients label! Over time this has become a natural habit that goes without saying and has helped me to become more mindful and aware of exactly what it is that I'm putting into my body.
With the rise & trend in health foods it can often be very confusing when knowing what to shop for at your local health food store or supermarket. Many brands use labels and claims that would make it seem safe to any consumer looking for healthier alternatives unfortunately that is not always the truth. So how can we tell if something is actually good for us? We can read the ingredients label and here's how:
