What's it called: Cocotte

What's the concept: Cocotte is a chicken rotisserie restaurant based in Notting Hill. They serve succulent roast chicken, healthy salads and classic side dishes available to eat in or takeaway! Most of what is on their menu is gluten free so great for those with an intolerance or allergy wanting something wholesome, hearty, comforting and homey. Their chickens come from a farm in La Chapelle d’Andaine in France, that spend their lives outside and are fed with a natural diet combination of vegetables and corn. They are marinated for 24 hours in their secret recipe of herbs and spices, served with a choice of side dishes such as potatoes roasted in chicken dripping, green beans and broccoli and mashed potato. Alternatively, you can choose from their salads for a healthy option as a light side or nutritious main course. All dishes are available for take away or delivery, perfect for a quick and easy lunch at the office or a wholesome family dinner to share at home.

Opening Times: Monday-Sunday 12:00 – 10:00pm

What to try: The chicken (obviously) which is marinated and roasted to perfection, juicy, flavourful, and delicious! All of the home made side dips: GARLIC MAYO / BBQ / COCOTTE MUSTARD / CHICKEN GRAVY / SPICY / GREEN SAUCE (N) / TRUFFLE MAYO (especially the truffle mayo if you're into truffle). The roast potatoes are divine, crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside and cooked in chicken drippings. Mmmm, the mashed potatoes are a dream. The Nini, Nathalie, and the Marie-lou salads add a great bit of nutritious crunch with a delicious homey touch using their incredible rustic flavoured salad dressings. All gluten free.

The space: Dim lights, cosy, super chilled with an awesome playlist. Just how we like it.

My experience: I every bit with all my heart absolutely LOVE this place. Finally! A delicious, hearty, healthy London rotisserie with loads of gluten free options! It doesn't feel like your average healthy eatery. No obvious Earthiness or cheesy quotes, no fuss, no long lists of ingredients you've never heard of, just a simple, small menu that brings back the feeling of a mama's cooking at home. Done so well. I left with a warm heart and a very happy, satisfied belly. The vibe was super chilled, the lighting was perfect for a sunday evening and the music had some old school hip hop classics in the back. This is definitely one of my new favourites for a good old comfort meal.
