Vegan Parmesan

This simple 2 minute recipe is a great alternative to dairy. Made out of just 3 ingredients.
Organic or not, dairy naturally contains growth hormones - enough for a baby calf to grow into a cow. This can have adverse effects on our own hormones that can cause hormonal imbalances, acne, eczema and psoriasis. Research has shown that the casein in milk has been greatly linked to promote hormonal cancers. Dairy also promotes inflammation and mucus in the body, not to mention many people are lactose intolerant, meaning they are unable to digest milk properly leaving them bloated and gassy. Great alternatives to milks are rice milks, coconut milks, nut milks, yoghurts and cheeses that are equally as delicious and packed full of plenty of nutrients.

Ingredients
Time: 2mins

1/4 cup Nutritional yeast
-
1 tsp himalayan or sea salt
-
1 cup Almonds/cashews, raw unsalted

Directions​

Blend all the ingredients in a food processor until 'powdery'. I like mine with a little more crumble so I wont process it too much.

Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and enjoy!

Sprinkle it on pasta, veggies, bakes, whatever you would normally sprinkle your parmesan on.
